Creator / Musician
Suwana is an American emcee who is committed to embodying the core principles of hip hop: peace, love, unity, and having fun! Suwana grew up in Aurora, Colorado and remembers sneaking downstairs after bedtime to watch late night programming that covered people’s experiences with alien abduction and UFOs. Suwana’s music reflects this lifelong attraction to the strange, this thirst for truth and for story.
Suwana spent the past few years creating & performing in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where she was a part of an artistic community that was actively creating music, comedy, art, festivals, events, connective experiences, and more. Currently, Suwana resides in northern California where she works as a social worker by day and a rap goddess by night. Suwana’s claim to fame in the alien world is her hip hop track “Black Holes”, which was a collaboration between Suwana, Prose Minded and producer killthewall.
“Black Holes” covers the Bob Lazar story (which shed light on the military’s possession of extraterrestrial flying saucers and helped make Area 51 a household name). Jeremy Corbell, who directed the Netflix documentary, “Bob Lazar: Area 51 & Flying Saucers”, caught wind of the song from George Knapp just hours after the trio uploaded their track and invited the gang to perform at the first ‘Storm Area 51 Basecamp’ festival in 2019. Suwana was the only one who happened to be heading back to the USA at that time and was one of two musical acts at the event, along with Paul Oakenfold.
Suwana’s debut music video - Thai Rap Song - went viral on YouTube and her track with Riyoon, “Moon Lit” has been featured on the Spotify Beats & Rhymes playlist. She has also released an EP called Arcana that embodies different archetypes in the Tarot. Her music is available on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, YouTube, Soundcloud, and Bandcamp. Suwana expects to release her album with killthewall this December 2020.
